Our research is primarily focused on risk factors for and causes of autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. We conduct epidemiological register-based research with the Danish registers as our point of departure. In particular, we study the environmental factors that contribute to the risk of disease and its development, including how hereditary and environmental factors interact.
Our unit includes medical doctors, statisticians, epidemiologists and geneticists. Through our Niels Bohr Professor, John McGrath we collaborate closely with Queensland Brain Institute.
